Our Beginning

Their love story began in Houston, back in 2014. It all started in college, on the soccer field of Bush Park while the women & men teams were fast away at soccer practice. The two would casually glance at each other often during practice, but did not think anything of it. A few practices later, they were both elected to be captains for their teams and were put into a group text that included the coaches and the captains from both teams. Ironically, Morgan started to notice Akon more & more and realized his accent and began to get butterflies every time he spoke to her or out loud during practice with this vivacious French West African accent! Morgan began to tell her close teammates what she thought of Akon, and of course the girls told her to become acquainted with him. They told her, "Since y'all are both in a group message together, the hard part is over and you already have his number!" They wanted Morgan to text him first. She was no way near up for that, since that's just something out of her norm. After much persuasion, it's the first game of the season, and she finally decided to nervously text him FIRST after the game! They officially began talking on this day, and the rest is history.
