How We Met

Conrad and I met at a college church service in the early Spring of 2016 at First Baptist Lubbock. We were officially introduced later that same evening by a mutual friend. After we were officially introduced we slowly became better friends through having lunch together in the dorm cafeteria, playing racquetball, and through fun activities with friends. Throughout the semester we both grew to find a deeper liking for one another. Not too long after, we started dating and a few weeks later I left to go on a Cru Summer Mission to Branson, Missouri. When I returned home to Cleburne, Conrad was right there to greet me with a warm hug and a bouquet of roses. We went back to Texas Tech excited for where our relationship could lead and for the year that lay ahead. I knew pretty early on in our relationship that Conrad was someone that I could possibly marry and he later told me that he felt the exact same way! Throughout our next few years in college, we grew closer to the Lord as individuals which allowed us to love one another more and therefore glorify Him in our relationship. It was clear to both of us that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together loving one another and making His name great. I cannot wait to see what the Lord has for us in our lives together! -Morgan

The Proposal

09/28/2018

After months of planning, the day that I had been waiting for was finally here. The day was September 28, 2018 and I could not have been more excited. I had known for along time that I had found the woman that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, but knowing that I was only hours away from asking her to do just that, was extremely exciting. Her parents and her youngest sister Marlie were coming to Lubbock as well as my parents and aunt. They were all ecstatic that the moment was about to be here but Morgan had no idea. I had an event that Morgan thought I was going to be at that night with my parents and aunt, but little did she know that was all a cover. I surprised Morgan at her house at 5:45 on that Friday and told her I was going to dinner with her and her parents. However, quickly after turning out of her neighborhood I pulled into this gated community and parked the car and we walked over to a pond that was in the middle of the community. Right after we arrived at the spot which I had picked out beforehand, I got on one knee and asked the most wonderful, beautiful, radiant, girl that God ever created to spend the rest of her life with me. Morgan said “Yes!” and the rest is history. -Conrad
