We’re Finally Getting Married!

We met at Thomas College through a mutual friend, Allie, and developed a friendship of our own, always seeking to hang out on weekends. Serendipitously, one night Morgan looked at Bridget after hanging out with Kade and said “he is husband material,” recognizing the good man he is, and that whomever ended up with him would be fortunate. After graduation Kade traveled to Greece when he returned, Morgan messaged him asking about his trip. Those messages between two friends turned into some that were sent with intent and received with butterflies in our stomachs (yeah, obviously Morgan’s writing this lol). Quickly, our friendship turned into spending every day together, staying at each other’s houses, and becoming infatuated with one another! Soon after moving in together, we got our first dog Otis, our black Shi-Poo, who started our family. Otis made his space in the bed and in our hearts, he’s the bestest boy who always listens, loves to snuggle, be cozy, play keep away and speak his mind (aka he’s a bit of a grouchy, spoiled, little bear)! Six months later we decided that Otis needed a buddy so we got our middle child Milo, our Lhasa-Poo! Milo has kept us on our toes to say the least: he’s obsessed with fetch, he’s run away on multiple occasions, and has caused us an equal amount of gray hairs as laugh lines. We love him just as much he loves to play fetch! We spent our mid to late 20s together doing whatever the heck we wanted to! You could find us dancing, drinking and walking our dogs throughout Portland, Maine. In 2019 we made the smartest purchase for that time: a moped! Which is how we spent quarantine, cruising around (cue dumb n’ dumber visual). In 2016 we were each working seven days a week to go to Bermuda and make a trip of our lifetime happen for our young selves and in 2019: Colorado! Kade is what Morgan likes to describe as an “old school gentleman” who brings flowers home just because, opens the car door on dates and has surprised home-dates waiting in a tux planned. In June of 2020 Kade popped the question around three of our closest friends at the Western Promenade in Portland. This was such a beautiful unexpected moment being our first night out after lockdown, an immediate yes was Morgan’s response! In 2022 Kade asked Morgan for a second time in front of her family, a moment we will all cherish forever. Shortly after, we found out we were expecting our son, Ezra, NOW, we know what it feels like to be truly living life to the fullest!! This time was a huge testament to our love towards each other both growing into the people we meant to be for ourselves and for each other, our partnership created life, our love sanctioned into a physical being, a mutual love for eternity. We grew into ways we didn’t know we could stretch. Morgan was focused on doing everything “right” internally growing our son, while Kade grew our lives, externally. We bought our house in 2022, and have been puttering, fixing it up ever since! These walls hold our heart to hold us the most sacred parts of us! Here we still spend our days laughing, dancing, and watching our little boy grow way too fast! Ezra already knows how to bring his mama flowers from watching his daddy do that so frequently.
