Morgan and Rebekah first met at Country Boy through mutual friends, just a quick introduction at the time, but neither of them could have guessed how their paths would cross again in a much bigger way. Months later, they reconnected at the gym where Morgan worked. Between workouts and water breaks, Morgan and Rebekah would chat about life, new jobs, house hunting, and all the little things in between. Their friendship deepened when Morgan bought a house in the very neighborhood where Rebekah was already living. Rebekah had no idea he was moving in nearby, and it turned out to be the best surprise she could have asked for. She likes to joke that she’s “dating her neighbor,” but it’s true and it’s the best twist of fate she could have imagined. Morgan and Rebekah began spending more time together, taking long walks with Vera (Rebekah's dog), watching and attending UK games, talking about everything under the sun, and navigating the joys (and occasional challenges) of being new homeowners at the same time. From tackling house projects to supporting each other through life’s changes, Morgan and Rebekah grew closer with every passing day. Walking has always been their thing. Many of their dates were spent strolling side by side, taking Vera for a walk, or driving around looking at houses. Growing up near Midway, Rebekah had countless sweet memories of walking its quaint streets with her family, so it naturally became one of their favorite date spots. Morgan and Rebekah both believe God is detailed in the way He writes stories. In 2024, Rebekah accepted a job at Midway’s elementary school and just a year later, her best friend asked her to be his forever in that very same town. Morgan planned it perfectly: a walk through Midway, a proposal in the little park at the heart of town, and a surprise celebration at his aunt’s house with their closest family and friends. What began as a casual friendship and the surprise of becoming neighbors has grown into a partnership built on faith, laughter, long walks, and building a life together. Now, Morgan and Rebekah can’t wait to walk into this next chapter, hand in hand (with Vera right beside), forever.
