Question

How do I RSVP to your wedding?

Answer

You can do this on the RSVP tab on our wedding website (once launched). Please include your meal selection and dietary restrictions to ensure your dinner service is smooth.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We request that all wedding guests join us in formal attire. For men, a suit or sports coat with a tie are recommended. For women, a formal or cocktail dress or a more formal jumpsuit/pant suit would be perfect. We request no jeans/denim.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

For our big day, we have extended plus-ones to selected love ones. Please review your invitations, your invitations will have their name specifically listed on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding. We are looking forward to to celebrate with you soon!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have secured a room block at the Delta Hotel Richmond Downtown. You can book within that block through this link: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1754504025991&key=GRP&app=resvlink There are also additional hotel details on the "Room Block & Hotel" tab of this website. Our block may be full, but please email melissa@thehiveweddingco.com to inquire about availability in our block. We also recommend the Graduate Hotel, the Quirk Hotel, and the Jefferson Hotel as other amazing places to stay. Richmond also has several AirBnB or VRBO options in the area.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is parking at the Hidden Oaks. Staff will be shuttling people from the parking lot to the venue. The shuttles are ADA compliant if assistance is necessary. If you have more specific parking questions (ADA compliance, etc.), please reach out to melissa@thehiveweddingco.com. Don’t want to drive? Please see the next question below.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will be offering a shuttle picking guests up from the Delta Hotel Richmond Downtown at 2:55 pm to take you to the ceremony at the Hidden Oaks. The Hidden Oaks is also accessible via Uber or Lyft.

I have a food allergy, how should I share this information?

Answer

We will be including a section to share food allergies and dietary preferences within the RSVP. You are more than welcome to contact Chris or Morgan directly to share that information as well.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have decided to have an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding, and we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time. If you have any questions or need assistance with recommendations for local childcare services, please feel free to reach out to us.

What are the details for the Welcome Party?

Answer

Please join us at the Common House for a Welcome Party to kick off the wedding weekend! The party will start at 7:30 pm on November 7th on the 4th floor of the Common House. The door to enter the Common House is a somewhat hidden, but it is right next to a restaurant called Birdie's and we will have signage to ensure everyone finds their way inside! There will be light bites to nibble on and a cash bar for drinks. The party will wrap at 9:30 pm, but guests can stay until close! Parking details below.

Is there parking at the Common House for the Welcome Party?

There are paid parking lots on W Grace Street: 100 W Grace St, Richmond, VA 23220 101 W Grace St, Richmond, VA 23220 There is also street parking available around the area. There is no fee for street parking after 6 pm.
