Duval Street is the main thoroughfare, stretching just over 1.25 miles through the heart of Old Town Key West. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and bustling nightlife - world class restaurants, bars and live music greet you at every corner. *Picture Bourbon Street on an island (and yes, Key West is open container!)*
Storied residence of famed American author Ernest Hemingway in the 1930s.
The site of ornithologist John James Audubon's original visit to Key West in 1832 - where he sketched and painted birds native to the Florida Keys - is now home to a museum showcasing many of his original works.
Although Key West is completely walkable (the island is less than 8 square miles), we love biking our way through town - whether heading out to dinner, visiting historic landmarks, or doing the famous Duval Bar Crawl - it's a fun way to explore (plus, the breeze is nice!)
This hop-on-hop-off trolley tour is a fun and informative way to explore the island. Be sure to ask about the world-famous Conch Train!
