We met in March of 2007 in an after-school algebra class. One day, Steven asked Jill to borrow her calculator (he didn't actually need a calculator). From there, a short conversation sparked and they both decided to ditch class and head to Taco Bell in Steven's brand new salsa-red Jetta GLI. Their very first adventures happened that same day! Steven taught Jill how to pump gas, Jill teased him over his bright red car with plaid seat covers, they talked about cars and music, explored new items on the taco bell menu together, and looked for other cool cars to race against. They only knew each other for a couple of hours, but they felt like two old friends hanging out. Since then, the adventures never stopped! Now, we're preparing for our biggest adventure yet: Marriage :)
Jill and Steven had saved up enough money to take their first big trip together! They purchased flight tickets for a 2.5 week trip to Japan. In typical Jill and Steve fashion, there was no real trip "Itinerary" and no real plan. They were simply excited to explore a new country together! They took nothing but two travel backpacks, a GoPro camera, their cell phones, and an English to Japanese phrasebook to help them get around. Steven was hiding the engagement ring the entire trip and Jill had no idea. On the day of the proposal, they were exploring a bamboo forest in the ancient city of Kyoto. They climbed up a hidden path and this is where it happened: Steven got down on one knee, and Jill cried and said yes! They spent the remainder of their trip (and the next four years LOL) on cloud nine, relishing in the fact that the rest of their lives would be spent together!
