FAQs

Question

Are plus ones or children allowed?

Answer

No. Plus ones and children will not be allowed unless previously specified. We appreciate that having your family join you for memorable occasions would be special. However, due to elevation levels, guest restrictions, and personal preference, we have chosen to limit our wedding ceremony and reception to invited guests only. That being said, we encourage you to bring your family with you to Durango to experience the beauty of the San Juan mountains and to join us in various activities during the week before the big day!

Question

Can I RSVP online?

Answer

Yes! Please visit and complete your RSVP on this website by August 8, 2025.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at Purgatory Resort?

Answer

No, Purgatory does not give us the ability to reserve block rooms. Rather, we encourage you to select accommodations on property. Rooms located in the following areas are walking distance from the shuttle to the reception point: Lodge/Peregrine Point, Purgatory Village, and Sheol Street. Please visit the Travel section of this site to access our discount code and booking link!

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

The drive from the airport to the resort is approximately 1 hour. If you plan to arrive to Colorado early, or if you would like to engage in activities while in Durango, we recommend that you reserve a vehicle for yourself. If you are facing financial difficulties and need assistance getting to the resort please reach out to the bride or groom.

Question

When is the last day I can RSVP?

Answer

The last date for you to RSVP is August 8. Submitting your RSVP before this date will help us finalize catering, make plans, and manage expectations!

Question

Answer

Durango has beautiful weather in September. During the day temperatures are likely to be around 75, while at night they will fal to around 45.

Question

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the event is formal. We request all guests come to the wedding wearing black. If you have a floor length gown or fancy tuxedo now is the time to bring it out and show it off!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Guests will be provided with 2 drink tokens. After those two tokens are used, it will be a cash bar. Please be reminded that the effects of alcohol are much more potent at this elevation. One drink equals two, and two equals four, four means you won't be remembering this wedding no more.

Question

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?

Answer

The greatest gift anyone could give us is the gift or relaxation! We ask that if you feel inclined to contribute to our wedding, please donate to our honeymoon fund so we can take a much needed vacation: https://www.zola.com/registry/michaelandgabrielaseptember27 :)

Question

Is it okay to post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Yes, however, you may not take photos during the ceremony. It would be super embarrassing for you if you were the only one captured in a picture with your cell phone out during the ceremony, wouldn't it? :)

Question

What is the wedding day itinerary?

Answer

More information to come!
