Private Home Rentals
House rentals are a great option if you don’t want to fork out an arm and a leg for a hotel. Jake and I have had great experiences with a few of the house rentals on island. Below is a link to different house rentals in the area that are in the Kamuela area. IF you choose to use a different house rental site, PLEASE make sure you type in Kamuela, Hawaii and just double check that it's the Big Island (Island of Hawai'i). **Make sure to check for cancellation policy regarding COVID**

Different Hotels on the Island
The closest hotels to the wedding site are either in Kamuela town (cheaper, no pools), Kohala Coast – (elegant & pricey), or Waikoloa Beach (fun, great for families). There are many condos in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area as well. The town of KONA is 45 minute + drive to Kamuela, and Kahua Ranch is another 20 minutes away. There are minimal street lights on the island because of the telescopes, so night driving is challenging. You’ll want a car, as Ubers are scarce. Please be sure to check cancellation policies with ALL reservations. One hotel in particular, Hilton Waikoloa Village is great for families! Large resort with a few pools and waterslides, a nice lagoon, Dolphin Quest, and several different restaurants within the resort. There are also other hotels to choose from in that area by the Hilton as well. Flight
Kona International Airport
While there are two airports on island, Kona International Airport is the one to fly into. Coming from Colorado, United has a non stop flight to Kona. Jake and I have taken this flight a few times and prefer it over stopping at different airports.
