Question

Are kids allowed at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

While we love your children (we do!), this fiesta is adults-only except for the immediate wedding party. If you would like to be connected with a local childcare provider, please reach out to Jessica who can help to coordinate.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

We have access to a courtyard space at the venue, so be prepared for both indoor and outdoor festivities.

What time is the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 6pm followed by cocktail hour, dinner, then dancing. The fiesta will end at 11pm. Please serve to find your seat at 5:45pm.

When should I get there?

Answer

You are welcome to come into the venue as early as 5:30pm. We recommend you arrive by 5:45pm in order to give you time to find a seat.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We are having a buffet style dinner, so hopefully everyone will be able to compile a meal that will make them happy. If you have specific concerns or allergies, please don't hesitate to reach out to Jessica and we will confer with the caterer.

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

Unfortunately there is a limit on the guests we can invite and cannot accomodate a plus one for everyone. If you are a special case where we have allowed you a plus one, we have listed her/his name or "Plus One" on your RSVP profile. If you feel we left out someone important, let us know, but understand that our limitations may mean our hands are tied.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early Spring in the DMV is beautiful. The internet says, "Late March in Alexandria, VA, generally features moderately cool and moderately humid conditions, with average high temperatures around 50-60°F (10-16°C) and low temperatures ranging from the low 30s to low 40s°F (0-5°C). It's a transition period from winter to spring, meaning you may experience varying conditions, including sunshine, cool breezes, and potential for late-season snow or rainy days." TL;DR: Bring a light coat.

Is there parking?

Answer

If you are traveling from out of town, it is best to book a hotel in Old Town so you can walk everywhere! If you are traveling by metro, the King Street Metro is about 14 blocks away and links directly to free trolley service that serves all of King Street. Street parking is possible, but difficult. We recommend these parking garages that are close to the venue: Market Square Garage, 108 N. Fairfax Street Solo Garage, 225 S. Union Street Colonial Garage, 102 N. Union Street

We ask that phones be put away during the ceremony in order to allow the professional photographers to truly capture the moment. After we are wed, feel free to document the evening!

Using the QR code in your wedding invitation or at the RSVP link at the top of this website. Please share your acceptances or regrets by February 21. If you are having trouble RSVP'ing online, please reach out to Jessica.

What should I wear?

Answer

Festive cocktail attire! Think elegant, colorful, and fun - not stuffy. Also please note, the sidewalks near the venue and throughout Old Town Alexandria are cobblestone, so leave your highest heels at home.
