The Arts District is a local favorite area for food, drinks, and thrift/vintage shopping. Favorite spots for drinks include Able Baker Brewing, Crafthaus Brewery, Dark Sister, The Dustland Bar, and Craft Creamery Speakeasy. Also, if you can get a reservation at Esther's Kitchen for dinner, it is so worth it!
The seasonal displays at the Bellagio Conservatory and the water show at the Bellagio Fountains are must-sees on The Strip.
Las Vegas Chinatown has many great bars and restaurants. Our favorites include Izakaya Go, 888 Japanese BBQ, and The Golden Tiki.
Lake Mead Recreation Area is a gorgeous day trip (rental car recommended). Lake Mead Cruises offers a lovely sightseeing tour, including views and history of the Hoover Dam. We recommend starting with this tour and then stopping in Historic Boulder City for a mid-day coffee (Dam Roast House & Browder Bookstore), bite (Big T's Cantina), or drink (Beer Zombies) before heading back into Las Vegas.
Interested in hiking or just a beautiful scenic drive? We highly recommend renting a car for the day and heading to Red Rock Canyon. Entry requires a timed reservation (see website link).
Springs Preserve in Las Vegas spans 180 acres of gardens, museums, trails, and exhibits celebrating the city's history and promoting sustainability. It's a great spot for family outings. We love the historic 1905 Boomtown.
The Mob Museum in Las Vegas offers an immersive look at organized crime history, featuring artifacts like Al Capone's home movies and interactive experiences.
Looking for a low-key local vibe? Check out Water Street District in Henderson. Gold Mine Tavern is our favorite for live music, a cheap beer, or a game of pool.
