Our story began in the fall of 2019 with a Tom Hanks GIF exchanged on Bumble. As many of you know, Tyler and I met while he was interning in Orlando, FL, and our first date was at The Stubborn Mule. Tyler had brought his adorable black lab, Samson, along, and I can’t quite tell you if it was his charm or the puppy that won me over!

Fast forward to July 2024, when Tyler and I traveled to Montana for a month to visit his family. We woke up early on the 4th to go for a hike before the family festivities. As we hiked up the trail, I was focused on the bear spray we forgot to bring (sorry, Dad!) and completely lost sight of the possibility of a proposal. At the top, there’s a large lookout area. Tyler suddenly bent down, and stated he spotted an animal, so I leaned down too. Plot twist: he wasn’t looking for an animal; he was getting ready to propose! Of course, I said yes, and then his old friend from the army appeared with his girlfriend to capture the moment. It was absolutely perfect! Later, we had plans for a 4th of July brunch at Tyler's brother’s place, and he told me no one else knew about the proposal and was guessing who might notice first. But as I walked in, I was greeted by a sea of decorations, and friends, and realized everyone was in on it! It was the perfect blend of surprises, and I couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Our journey together has been filled with incredible travels and unforgettable memories, and we can’t wait to create even more with all of you on our special day.
