Totally. You won't want to miss this.
It sure is. Let me know if you need any references to confirm this. It's the main reason why I'm attending this wedding. - Hope
Well, there was this pandemic happening so we decided to wait until we felt more comfortable hosting a large gathering where everyone we loved could (more) safely be together. Also, Hope does a LOT of research before pulling the trigger on things...
We highly encourage all guests to get vaccinated so we can protect our loved ones who are at higher risk of complications from COVID. If you are not vaccinated, we will be requiring a negative test within 72 hours of the event. If you are feeling sick in any way the week of the wedding, we ask that you take a test before coming. We also hope you will consider taking a test even if you are vaccinated, just so we can be sure we are all safe. We will be following any current state and local guidelines. Check back here for more information.
We waited two and a half years because we wanted to have a safe event for our friends and family to gather. We ask that everyone be cautious and mindful of this decision we made to stay safe. Thankfully all of our official events will be outside. Here are some protocols we would like to establish: Vaccinations highly encouraged. Masks are welcome if that would make you feel comfortable - no judgement here! Please consider limiting unmasked social activities 7 days before the wedding. We ask that everyone take a rapid test the morning they are departing for Stowe. If you are not able to take a test, please let us know as we will have some on site. If you have been exposed to someone with COVID in the week before the event, please do the following [REQUIRED]: Let us know Monitor your symptoms - if you don't feel well, please stay home. (regardless of test results) Rapid test on day of departure Rapid test immediately before Friday & Saturday events Wear a mask when indoors
Safety of everyone is most important to us. As much as we want everyone here with us, if you are not feeling well (whether positive for COVID or not), please plan to stay home. We don't feel comfortable with taking that risk and know 12 hours can make the difference between testing negative and testing positive. If you test positive for COVID between today and June 25th, please do not come. We don't want to take that risk even if the CDC guidelines are less strict. This is a choice we are making, even though it would be heartbreaking for you to miss our event.
Did you check the travel page? TLDR: The Stowehof
Actually, maybe! The Stowehof does have 10 rooms available that can accommodate a pet. Please request a pet-friendly room when booking. We will not have dog meals available. We also do not recommend your dogs consume any alcoholic beverages.
Your Invitation will be addressed to everyone invited to the wedding. If you are able to bring a guest, it will say their name or "and guest."
As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only ceremony and reception with the exception of immediate family. We hope you will be able to enjoy a stress-free weekend away and will be able to let loose! If this is going to be a problem or mean that you can't attend, please let us know so that we can figure out a plan together! Your attendance is the most important.
Booking will open December 8th. Please call and mention "Mopefest" or "Arnold-Blanchette" wedding.
Yes, this is posted on the registry page of the website.
We are expecting a late night Saturday so will not be hosting a brunch event. The hotel will have breakfast available for the early risers.
Matt can relate. Friday night we will be serving light fare (flatbread & salads), snacks and desserts. You might want to have a late lunch if you plan to drink heavily. Saturday we will have appetizers, bread, salad, entrees and dessert. The Mansfield room will be open for breakfast from 7am or 7:30am > 10am daily. For those late risers, there are some cute breakfast places in town. (Skinny Pancake!) Lunch will not be provided on site. Late night food is limited/non-existant in Stowe. We are ordering some late night pizza for Saturday night but if you are someone who wants to have food available at all times, we recommend bringing some snacks!
We can relate. The Fritz bar will be open on Friday for a cash bar from 4-12am. The bar will stay open if people are still drinking. (The bartender will decide when to stop serving) The best part about Stowehof is they will let us use the Fritz bar with our own food and beverage after the bar is closed. So feel free to BYOB for before/after the bar closes. If you have a cooler and are planning to drive, we recommend bringing one. Mini fridges are limited and given to people with medical priorities first. On Saturday, Cocktail hour will begin around 4:45pm. The bar will be open until 12am. You are allowed to BYOB after the bar closes. One reminder- no glass bottles outside by the pool!
You betcha!
