Koreatown
This is our neighbourhood! When we aren't enjoying food, drinks, and movies at home you can find us at any of the following spots. Our favourites: Yummy Korean, Mapo BBQ (get a bottle of soju!), Owl of Minerva (open LATE), Rustle and Still (Banh Mi)
Little Italy
Just down the street from us, some of our favourite restaurants, and bars are here. Such a great foodie area if you need a fun dinner spot :) Our favourites: Danny's Pizza Tavern + Danny's Next Door, Birreria Volo + Bottega Volo, Big Chill, Martine's, Bar Raval, Bar Isabel, DaiLo, Bar Pompette
Ossington Strip
Trendy shops and restaurants and generally a fun place to explore. Essentially our second home! Our favourites: Badiali for a slice of pizza on the go (get the vodka pizza!), Rotate This (records, of course), Bar Bowie, Andrea's Cookies, Pho Tien Thanh, The Roxton, Lakeview Diner.
Lunch + Dinner Spots We Love
Danny's Pizza Tavern
Our absolute go-to, we have lost count how many times we've been. The best on a Friday night! Also has a restaurant next door that you can find us at most often: Danny's Next Door. Great vibes, Great drinks, and even better food! Our favourites @Danny's: cacio pepe pizza, clam pie, moz sticks, danny's martini, key lime pie on a stick and the margarita Our favourites @Danny's Next Door: garlic knots, hot dog, steak tartare, any of the drinks during happy hour :)
Imanishi Japanese Kitchen
A go-to date night spot for us. Elevated Japanese dishes, can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Our favourites: shrimp tempura, sashimi, monkfish liver pate (trust us), tokyo toast, sake (!!)
Dotty's
Casual, neighbourhood vibes! Fun menu that with some seasonal changes, so ask the server what they suggest :) Our favourites: pimento cheese and crackers, and the shrimp cocktail
Union
Canadian-French bistro. Elevated and indulgent dishes! We will never say no to a good cocktail and an even better steak tartare. Our favourites: steak tartare (we order steak tartare whenever it's on a menu, and this is our FAVOURITE in the city. Hope you like pickles!!), elk sliders, oysters
Bernhardt's
Wedged on a residential street, arguably has the most toronto-style back patio! Known for their rotisserie style chicken, this is an absolute must have. Our favourites: not sure we need to even say it, but the chicken (of course)
Lunch Lady
So technically this is in Vancouver too...but this Vietnamese restaurant is the perfect summer dinner spot! Our favourites: pho, beef carpaccio, soft shell crab
Breakfast Spots We Love
Emmer
Famous for their pastries specifically their pistachio croissant, but can't go wrong with anything! The bride thinks they have one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. Our favourites: sausage and egg breakfast sandwich, BLT, pastries + bread
Gold Standard
Tucked into a favourite neighbourhood of ours, it truly is the gold standard of breakfast sandwiches. Enjoy breakfast and a walk in high park :) Our favourite: sausage + egg breakfast sandwich
Dad's Breakfast & Coffee
We suggest grabbing a breakfast sandwich and coffee before exploring the shops on Dundas W! Our favourites: katsu egg sandwich, dad's 48 sausage breakfast sandwich (sausage + egg...shocker!!!)
