They met in high school. Mootchie saw him first at a bus stop—both headed in opposite directions. She turned to her best friend, Yanick, and said, “Ooh, he’s cute. I could marry him.” Not long after, they met again at Edison Senior High School during Bible study. What began as a simple friendship quickly grew into a deep bond. They became best friends, and soon after, inseparable. Like many journeys, theirs was not without hardship. During their college years, they experienced a traumatic breakup. They truly believed it was over—but God saw it differently. A year later, they reunited at Pastor Eddy and Del’s wedding. One year after that divine reconnection, they said, “I do.” Life has had its ups and downs, but they started with nothing and built everything they have brick by brick. God has favored them in this lifetime—opening doors, making ways, and providing for them every step of the journey. Three amazing children later, now young adults, they are preparing for their next chapter as empty nesters. Through it all, they have been each other’s greatest supporters. None of this would have been possible without the hand of God guiding them every step of the way. And as they stand here today—renewing their vows on June 9, 2026—they do so as a testimony that what God joins together, time cannot undo, trials cannot break, and love, when rooted in faith, only grows stronger. This is not just their love story; it is their covenant, their legacy, and their forever. ✨ “When Love Stands the Rain”
