We're getting Married!

It all began in the spring of 2020… Though Connor and Diana had mutual friends through church for years, their paths didn’t truly cross until a teen retreat in Indiana. A casual hello turned into a friendship full of laughter, deep conversations, and an instant connection neither of them expected. That simple moment would become the beginning of their forever. When the world shut down during the pandemic, their friendship continued to grow through long houseparty calls, virtual Bible studies, and lots of laughs. They bonded over their love for sports, music, and most importantly, their shared desire to grow in their relationship with God. Connor started school at Northern Illinois University, and after much prayer and seeking advice, Diana made the decision to attend NIU as well the following year. Being on the same campus gave their friendship room to blossom into something more. After a few sweet dates and a whole lot of butterflies, Connor officially asked Diana to be his girlfriend in December 2021! Over the next 3 ½ years, their relationship was filled with joy, silly moments, spiritual growth, and deep love but also some unexpected challenges. In 2024, Diana was diagnosed with a neurological condition that impacted her ability to walk, talk, and function. It was one of the hardest seasons of their lives. Through it all, Connor stood by her side not only as her boyfriend but as her full-time caregiver. They experienced firsthand what “in sickness and in health” truly means, and their love only grew stronger through it. In April 2025, Connor got down on one knee and asked Diana to spend forever with him and she said YES! Now, Connor and Diana can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of their favorite people. August 9th will be a day full of laughter, tears (the happy kind!), dancing, and the beginning of their greatest adventure yet! 💍💕
