Question

Is there a dress code?Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the wedding dress code is black tie, a decision we made to match the beauty and grandeur of the historic venue. The recommended attire includes floor-length gowns, formal cocktail dresses, tuxes with neckties/bowties, and formal suits (it is OK to not wear a tux!). All types of colors are acceptable. We do want you to express yourself! This is an opportunity to dress up and have fun with your clothing. Please wear what you feel comfortable in within these parameters. Also, remember that we will be having fun and dancing for several hours post-ceremony. It will be perfectly fine to remove layers and kick your shoes off! Some people are planning on bringing outfit changes and there is plenty of space to change if you want a second look for more movement or comfort.

Question

What time should I arrive? What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive on time for the ceremony no later than 4:00 p.m. The wedding celebration is being held at The Engineers Club at the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion, located at 11 West Mount Vernon Place, Baltimore, MD 21201.

Question

What else should I know about arriving? What else should I know about arriving?

Answer

The Baltimore Marathon is happening the same day! This means lots of street closures, including just a block away from our venue on each side. While things should wrap up by 3:00 pm, there may be closed streets and heavy traffic. We strongly recommend allowing extra time to travel to the venue. You also may need to get dropped off and walk the last block.

Question

Is there parking at the venue? Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

The short answer is there is no dedicated venue parking. For out-of-towners in hotels, we recommend leaving your car where you're staying and using Uber or Lyft. If you're staying at one of our recommended hotels, you should be fine walking, weather-contingent. For those traveling by car from nearby cities, you may want to find a parking lot or garage a few blocks away. As mentioned before, the Baltimore Marathon may create challenges with closures on Cathedral and St. Paul Streets. You don't want to get stuck in traffic looking for a street parking spot which can be tough to find around the venue.
