Maid of Honor
Sarah met Shaelyn during graduate school at the University of Alabama, and they were fast friends! Whether is shared misery over the trials of life with a diabetic or cackling over the latest Harry Potter joke, Sarah values Shaelyn's friendship and is honored to have her by her side on such a big day!

Since dear old Redemptorist High School, Brittani has been a constant in Sarah's life. No matter how long goes between conversations, Sarah always comes to Brittani with the biggest news. Sarah had the privilege of standing by Brittani during her wedding to her husband Matt, and now Brittani will be a part of Sarah and Josh's next step!

I met Aaron in grad school at UA in 2018, and, as soon as I heard him say “I love me a good lemon tree,” I knew we’d be fast friends. His brutally witty remarks and savage honesty have kept me alive and breathing throughout the doctoral process. You’ll recognize him as the dapper fellow on the dance floor handsomely laughing his ass off while dancing up a storm. Roll Tide.

Nolie and Sarah had what some might call a contentious relationship to start, but after a semester in London together and virtually identical college schedules, Nolie quickly became one of Sarah's best friends their time at Mississippi College. She brings order to Sarah's chaos and is a dearly valued friend.

I first met Cody at a departmental event in 2018, and instantly knew he was worthy of being Dawn Wiley’s fiancé. Cody is one of a kind. An educated farmer who’s travelled the world and has a gift for fine storytelling. He is the embodiment of southern charm and hospitality. Cody is a fountainhead of patience and generosity. If you see him, ask him what his definition is of a “long pull.” And do tell me what he says.

Another friend from Mississippi College, Mary and Sarah came together through mutual friends and eventually shared summer housing. Now, Mary and Sarah share their strong personalities (hello, Enneagram type 8s) and their love for animals; occasionally they have even run together (or with the intention anyway). Mary and her husband, Charlie, are good friends of the bride and groom!

I had the good fortune of meeting Charlie in grad school, and, simply put, he’s one of a kind. A lover of words and a master of puns, Charlie is a scholar and a gentleman of the highest order, and his kindness and mischievous Cheshire cat smile are matched only by his wit. You’ll know him as the dapper man wearing the most interesting socks in the room.
Bridesmaid
If she's being honest, Sarah has Abby to thank for bringing her and Josh together. One day in the graduate student office at the University of Alabama, Sarah was overthinking, and Abby provided the push to make plans. The rest is history! Another best friend residing an entire country away, it would have been unthinkable to get married without Abby by Sarah's side.
Groomsman
During the Visit Day at UA in 2018, I asked some grad students if anyone in the department plays guitar? Dan’s name came up immediately, and we’ve been dear friends ever since. Being from Ohio, Dan and I have both shared in the trauma of northern winters, and, as a result, we agree on most things. Except for the best Metallica album. The right answer is And Justice For All. Obviously. Not Master of Puppets. You’ll know Dan by his long beautifully flowing grey hair and quick smile.

The final piece of the triumvirate of friends from the University of Alabama, AnnMarie. Over two years, these four friends shared Christmases, birthdays, and the trials of grad school. AnnMarie is as brilliant as she is kind, and she brightens any room she's in with her amazing smile. Sarah is happy to have her by her side!
