Things To Do

We hope you get a chance to explore and experience the City of Brotherly Love while you are in town for the wedding. To get you started, we jotted down a few of our favorite spots and sites.
Yards Brewing Company

Yards Brewing Company

500 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123

Yards is our favorite brewery in Philly! It's a huge space with great beer, yummy food, and a covered patio. Great for a casual afternoon bite.

Love City Brewing

Love City Brewing

1023 Hamilton Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123

Another great brewery! A bit of an odd location, but they have a lot of seating (indoor and outdoor) with a nice relaxed vibe and pizza from a permanent food truck, Viva. Perfect for an afternoon brewski.

Giuseppe & Sons

1523 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102

If you're looking for a drink and a bite before the Welcoming Party on Friday, Giuseppe & Sons has one of the best happy hours in the city!

Good Dog Bar

Good Dog Bar

224 South 15th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102

One of our go-to watering holes with great elevated bar food and a pool table (on the third floor). As a fun bonus, there is a picture of our dog Edgar on the wall!

1-900-ICE-CREAM

1-900-ICE-CREAM

229 S 20th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103

If you're anywhere near Center City/Rittenhouse, you have to try this fabulous local ice cream shop! Their specialty is fun flavors of soft serve. Check out their instagram for daily flavors @1900icecream.

Honey's Sit 'n Eat

Honey's Sit 'n Eat

800 North 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123

Best breakfast spot in the city! If they have their homemade apple cake on special, do yourself a favor and order a slice (or two).

Eastern State Penitentiary

Eastern State Penitentiary

2027 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Open daily from 10am - 5pm. Audio tour included with admission ($17 for adults).

Philadelphia Museum of Art

Philadelphia Museum of Art

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Admission to the art museum is “pay what you want” the first Sunday of the month (the day after our wedding!) and every Friday from 5pm - 8:45pm. If you go, refuel after your visit with a cappuccino and a pastry at Musette, or a pint at The Black Taxi (both a few blocks away on 25th street.

Barnes Foundation

Barnes Foundation

2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

One of our personal favorites! The Barnes houses the private collection of the late Dr. Albert C. Barnes - an impressive assortment including works by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, and Picasso. The Barnes is a lovely bite-size alternative to the main art museum, particularly if you only have an hour or two to spare.

Rittenhouse Square

Rittenhouse Square

Philadelphia, PA

A delightful park for people watching or relaxing with a coffee under the trees. Check out the weekly farmer’s market on Saturday from 10am - 2pm.

Elfreth's Alley Museum

Elfreth's Alley Museum

Take a scenic stroll down the oldest residential street in America.
