We're Getting Married!

Nick and Lauren first met online in early 2015, and after a few long text conversations about music and movies, decided to go on their first date on March 27th, 2015. The plan was to go to a hockey game, where Lauren was to meet Nick. However, an emergency at Honda caused Nick to leave work too late to make the game. After a regroup they decided to meet in Fountain Square for dinner. They met at the Red Lion, and then went to the Brass Ring Lounge after. Nick talked for three straight hours, and Lauren offered the occasional nod and laugh. They continued to see each other every few weeks, and grew to have a great foundation. Lauren continued to laugh at Nick's bad jokes. In June, Nick asked Lauren to be his girlfriend and she happily agreed. Over the next few years, they traveled to the Grand Canyon, Ireland, the Rocky Mountains, and several Caribbean islands together. They attended countless concerts of every musical genre, from EDM to classical. Lauren learned more about sci-fi movies and video games than she had learned the first 25 years of her life. Nick learned that his fries are always a shared side, and how to obtain a good proof and a good bake from watching The Great British Baking Show. On March 16th, 2019, Nick and Lauren went to dinner with some friends and came back home. During their early days of dating, Lauren created an indoor picnic at her apartment, and spread a blanket out for them to have dinner and listen to music. Nick sneakily recreated this scene, and invited Lauren to sit on the ground with him. Lauren turned away for a moment and when she turned back around to face Nick, he was on one knee with a ring! And the rest, as they say, is history!
