How They First Met

08.15.2018

It was a few weeks before Santa Barbara City College classes resumed, and Whitney was organizing her annual Beach BBQ Potluck. At the time, she had a roommate assisting her in planning and setting everything up until the point where she asked if the guy she was dating could join. Without hesitation, Whitney agreed, as long as he contributed something. He then inquired about inviting his buddy, Jordan. Whitney welcomed the idea, stating the more, the merrier— with the condition that they bring food, of course. Later that day, while Whitney was setting up the grill and arranging the table, she started playing music just in time for friends to arrive. After a few games of Gaucho Ball, flip cup, and beer pong, Jordan walked up to the party, declaring, "I'm next on the game." The cute flirting between the two evolved into intriguing conversations, with Whitney momentarily forgetting she was hosting an entire event. Kindly, Jordan offered Whitney a ride to her next destination, Study Hall. From that day forward, the two never lost touch.

The Proposal

11.19.2023

On November 19th, 2023, Whitney celebrated her 30th birthday. For this milestone, her sister Natasha joined her in Santa Barbara for a day filled with thrift shopping, Christmas decorations, and Christmas movies. Jordan had expressed to Natasha his desire to propose on Whitney's birthday, so together they hatched a plan. Before dinner, Jordan suggested heading to Butterfly Beach, though Whitney initially wanted to go straight to dinner and then Target. Natasha, however, persuaded her with excitement about the beach. Dressed for dinner, they made a pit stop at Butterfly Beach as the sun began to set. Jordan proposed the idea of taking a picture of the Moore sisters, and Whitney agreed, fearing their mom's reaction if they didn't. Natasha then suggested a photo of just the two of them. Grumpily, Whitney consented but insisted they go eat afterward as she was hungry. While taking pictures, Jordan proposed a corny photo of them pointing out to the ocean. Annoyed, Whitney reluctantly agreed but again demanded they go eat afterward. As they continued with the corny pictures, Whitney expressed her frustration, only to turn around and find Jordan on one knee with a beautiful ring. Overwhelmed with emotion, Whitney tearfully said yes, marking the beginning of their forever happily ever after.

The Ceremony

10.11.2024

The day began like a scene from a fairytale at the Santa Barbara courthouse, where Jordan and Whitney did their first look. Whitney wearing a white bow just like her favorite Disney princess tying her wedding look altogether. Time seemed to pause as they shared a private exchange of heartfelt vows, weaving together promises as timeless as their love. Capturing the joy of the moment, they posed for photos with their cherished few: parents, maid of honor Natasha, best man Mitch, and officiant Josh. Their journey continued to a secluded beach just beyond Santa Barbara, where the rhythmic sound of the waves greeted them. Against this natural symphony stood a rustic wooden arch, crafted by Jordan’s own hands—a testament to his love and dedication. In the presence of family and friends, Josh, Jordan’s nephew, began the ceremony. His words touched every heart, blending laughter with emotion, and symbolizing the union of two families coming together in celebration. As Whitney and Jordan exchanged rings, a gentle breeze swept around them, carrying their joy out to the sea. Their first kiss as husband and wife was a moment suspended in time, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and enveloped by the warmth of loved ones. The intimate setting, heartfelt vows, and undeniable bond between them made the day feel extraordinary—a beautiful moment etched into the story of their love.
