September 14, 2019. You can do so by returning your rsvp card or right here on the site!
You can find our registry here on Zola as well as in store at Target!
The ceremony starts at 2 pm. Cocktail hour/Reception to follow.
Semi-formal but we ask that everyone please keep in mind that all events are outdoors during the fall in the North Atlantic and be prepared.
There is ample onsite parking at the event, however there is a bit of a (beautiful) walk between the event space and the parking lot with limited parking at the end of the drive that we ask remain open for guests who required placard parking.
We currently do not have any specific recommendations but are working with several local hotels to secure a block. That information will become available under the "travel" page as soon as available (the page will not be visible until this time). We do recommend looking into the town Easton as it has several establishments. We also highly recommend Airbnb or Homeaway to take advantage of one of the beautiful local Eastern Shore Maryland vacation rentals in the area. There is actually a private estate on the island that it would just break our hearts to see go unrented for the weekend! Camping is also provided in Tuckahoe State Park in nearby Queen Anne. MD. We've camped there and loved it! They offer small sleeper cabins as well as full hook up sites. Sites can be booked through https://parkreservations.maryland.gov . There are also several private campgrounds in the area. For information on private campgrounds in Maryland, please contact the Maryland Association of Campgrounds at 301-271-7012, via e-mail at campinmd@dmv.com, or on-line at: www.mdcamping.com
Because of how rural the area is we recommend reserving an uber or Lyft ahead of time if you plan to leave your car on the island overnight. So far none of the hotels we have contacted offer shuttle services unfortunately, of course if that changes we will update the information here!
We can't lie to you, slightly. Have no fear! We will have carefully placed signs along the way in to help keep everyone one on track! On this page you will find directions from the State Parks website on how to get there (Google maps is very reliable when following to the island itself). Our wedding will take place at the pavilion near the lodge which can be located on the map above. Just remember, when in doubt, stick to Carmichael, and again, don't worry when the bride is the daughter of a sign maker you can bet there will be plenty of signage! We can't wait to see you all there!
