This slideshow will bring to life the unforgettable proposal. But before you hit play, take a moment to gain an inside perspective by reading the heartfelt words shared by the Bride and Groom below.
Well, well, well, what a grand production we had here! It took us months to put together this master plan, but little did anyone know, it all started much earlier than expected. First and foremost, let's give a big shout-out to the star-studded cast of our proposal extravaganza: Mama & Papa Fuller, the fabulous Heather Shew, the lovely Lexi Fuller, Mama Castro, Mama Rocio, and, of course, the one and only Christian Waples. Now, Natalie always had this notion that I would propose in February 2024, so I played along and let her believe that. Little did she know, I had something else up my sleeve. I reached out to her closest friends to set the wheels in motion. Heather Shew took Natalie out for a girls' night, starting with a fancy nail appointment. Not only was it a chance for them to have some fun, but it also served as the perfect opportunity to drop hints about what to wear and get those nails looking picture-perfect. We all know how much women love their Instagram-worthy nails, right? Mama Castro and Mama Rocio took charge of the menu, whipping up their famous "Marry Me Chicken." I mean, who can resist a dish with such a suggestive name? Hats off to Mama Fuller and Papa Fuller for graciously offering up their home as the backdrop for our grand event. We then created a group chat, inviting all our friends, pastors, and loved ones to witness the proposal. The whole thing was shrouded in secrecy, leaving Natalie completely clueless. All the participants were sworn to silence. Natalie thought she was attending a pre-planned Fuller family celebration dinner, so when she arrived and saw the crowd, she was blown away. Little did she know, these were all the people she cherished most, the very people who would be present if I ever popped the question. As the evening unfolded, Natalie couldn't help but drop subtle hints about wanting a ring on her finger and how this gathering would be perfect for a proposal. Meanwhile, I was in the background, nervously sipping on drinks provided by Christian Waples and Deshauwn Tagliareni. I needed a little liquid courage, you know? But we soldiered on according to plan. At the perfect moment, I staged a phone call with our dear friends, Chris Ross and Mama Ross, who were in on the whole scheme. Natalie and I slipped away to the front of the Fullers' house while everyone sprang into action. Rose petals were scattered, candles were lit, creating the most enchanting and romantic setting for Natalie to walk back into. The phone call with the Rosses continued, adding to the illusion. As we made our way toward the party area, the sweet sound of "Most Beautiful" by Maverick City FT. Chandler Moore filled the air. Natalie was bewildered, trying to figure out what on earth was happening. She kept bombarding me with questions like, "What are you doing?" It was hilarious, really. I practically had to drag her out of the house and up the steps, just to get her to the moment of truth. Her eyes were wide with astonishment. And then, as I dropped down on one knee, I professed my undying love for her. But guess what? I opened the ring box upside down! Can you believe it? Mind you, I hadn't seen the ring for a month and a half because I entrusted it to Christian Waples for safekeeping. So, naturally, I fumbled the box, and the ring went flying into a sea of rose petals. Luckily, I managed to find it quickly and continued with the proposal. And, of course, she said YES! I am eternally grateful to everyone who played a part in this grand spectacle. It was a night to remember, one that I wish I could repay everyone for, but alas, my pockets aren't that deep. Nevertheless, I eagerly look forward to seeing all our friends and family join us on May 11th for the ceremony and wedding. It's going to be one heck of a celebration, so get those dancing shoes ready and let's get this PARTY started!
My life with Moon has been far more than anything I could’ve ever dreamed or imagined. I was oblivious to the divine plan, unaware of the incredible man that God had in store for me. Just as I was unaware of the event that was about to unfold the evening of September 16th. September 16th is a day I will forever cherish in my heart. I thought we were heading to another special family dinner with the Fullers. As I stepped through the front door into the kitchen, my heart overflowed with joy. I was surrounded by so many faces that I love so much, that mean the world to Moon and I. I remember exclaiming, “Wow, so many of my favorite people are here”. It was a moment of immense love and blessing. Suspicion started to creep in - the atmosphere was just too perfect. But Mama Fuller cleverly threw me off the scent, welcoming everyone and explaining they'd missed hosting at their home. She told us that tonight was a night to be altogether to fellowship and break bread. I was convinced. I just felt so blessed to be in the room. The evening continued with a delicious meal crafted by Dharimar and Mama Rocio, conversations flowed, and laughter echoed through the room. I was so immersed in these precious moments, I remained blissfully unaware of what was to come. Soon, a FaceTime call from Chris & Randi Ross, dear friends from Boise Idaho, lit up my phone. Moon and I had been missing them so much since they moved, we stepped away to catch up. We laughed and shared stories, and our walk ended us back at the front door. That's when I heard the first notes of a familiar worship song, a song that holds a special place in both Moon’s and my heart. The realization hit me like a wave, but my heart was still racing to catch up. To my utter shock, Moon led me through the house to the backyard, where an enchanting scene awaited us. Candles flickered, rose petals lay scattered, and our loved ones stood with anticipation. Moon dropped to one knee, and even though he briefly fumbled the ring, I hardly noticed. My answer was immediate - a resounding YES. There I was, standing in a white dress, my nails fresh from a manicure the night before, courtesy of my wonderful friend, Heather. The surprise was executed so beautifully, so perfectly. It was a moment made even more special by everyone who was there, including those who couldn’t be there but were apart of every detail like our beautiful Lexi Fuller and our Ross family in Idaho. I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for the remarkable people in Moon's and my life. I eagerly look forward to marrying this man who knows how to cherish me, surprise me, and make me laugh. Thank you all for sharing this journey with us, and for being the love that surrounds us as we embark on this new chapter together.
