We’re getting married!!!

Matt and Megan flew into Washington D.C on a late Thursday afternoon in September. Upon arrival, they stopped by their boutique hotel to drop off their luggage, and then proceeded to go to the Smithsonian Zoo. After walking around the zoo for what felt like hours, Matt and Megan ultimately decided to go back to their hotel and get ready for that night’s Nationals baseball game. The baseball game proved to be an outstanding time, and they thoroughly enjoyed taking in sights of Washington D.C. and its surrounding areas. Because it was getting late, and they had big plans scheduled for the next day, the couple decided to call it a night and head back towards the room. The next morning Matt woke Megan up extremely early, and told her that he had plans for them to take in the views of the historical monuments surrounding the Capitol at sunrise. With Starbucks cups in one hand, the couple set out hand-in-hand as they made their way towards the National Mall. After crossing the National Mall, Matt then lead Megan around the Tidal Basin towards the Thomas Jefferson Memorial just as the sun was beginning to peer over the horizon. Once Matt and Megan reached the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Matt suggested that they should climb the monument’s steps and find a well-situated place to sit down and enjoy the sunrise. Just as the couple was about to sit down on a middle step, however, Matt told Megan to face him. There, standing face-to-face, Matt told Megan how much he loved her, and that he couldn’t wait to spend the rest of his life with such a beautiful woman—inside or out. Matt then got down on one knee, held Megan’s hand, and asked: “Megan Victoria Moody, will you marry me?” —She of course said yes, and the rest is history... The rest of the day was followed with a tour of the White House and a private tour of the Capitol. Ending the night with drinks on a rooftop bar, which overlooked the White House. Needless to say this day was magical!
