It was mid 2013, the Montz's had just moved from New York to the lovely Fayettenam, NC. During this transition, Marcia and Amber needed to get their eyes examined and came to Risk Optometric, introduced to the one and only, Dr. Risk. This meeting lead Dr. Risk to think of his daughter who also played soccer at the local high school and force her and Cary to come into the office to meet these New Yorkers. Marcia and Cary hit it off from the very beginning, leaving Amber and Victoria semi jealous (and skeptical) of the kind of relationship their mothers were developing. A couple moths later, Marcia and Cary were meeting up frequently and decided that it would be a good idea to make sure their kids got along. This lead to a scheduled "hang out" for the four to go to the movies together. Adriann drove Victoria over to the Montz's house to pick up Amber and Blake and the only thing to run through Victoria's mind was "Oh man!! This guy is cute". Fast forward to the summer, about a year later, Blake and Victoria were in the pool every day playing volleyball, shooting water into the air, practicing their flips and dives, and at the same time, touching shoulders as if there wasn't an entire pool just for them. As the days progressed and Victoria began to fall for Blake, the anticipation became too great. On August 1st, 2014, Victoria stood at Blake's front door with a sign in hand with the words: "Blake, will you 'officially' go out with me?" written on it...and the rest is history. Since the very beginning, we knew that this was not just some high school fling, this is the person we were going to marry. And here we are, almost seven years later, exchanging vows, and promising forever.
