Ruby's Sangeet & Maiyan

Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and button shirts and slacks.

A Sangeet is similar to a bridal shower. At this event there will be food, drinks, speeches, and dancing. Men and Women will be able to get their Mendhi (henna) done. The evening will conclude with the Maiyan ceremony, where the Bride's loved ones smear turmeric onto the bride and feed her sweets as a way to offer love and blessings to each other. Each guest will haven a red saffron string tied to their wrist to remain on during the week's events as a symbol of the bride's connection to her loved ones.

Parking is limited, please plan to carpool. Schedule of Events 8:00AM- Barat. Monty will walk with family members and friends from a nearby location to the Gurdwara. 9:00AM- Milni and tea. Family members from each side will greet each other before entering for snacks and tea. 11:00AM- Anand Karaj (Wedding Ceremony) 12:00PM- Guru Ka Langar (Vegetarian lunch)

5:30 pm - 11:15 pm

Attire: Suits and gowns are recommended.
