Enchanted Woodland Walk
There's no better way to get into the festive spirit than a walk through our enchanted illuminations. Perfect to pair with a winter warmer from one of our food and drink vendors in the Feasting Forest at the start of the trail. Tickets are available for purchase.
Berkhamsted Castle
Berkhamsted Castle was first built as a timber motte-and-bailey castle in the late 11th century. One of the most important early Norman castles, it controlled the northern approach to London, 30 miles away. Kept in royal hands, it was occupied by key figures of the Middle Ages, such as Thomas Becket, Richard, Earl of Cornwall, and the Black Prince. Much of its stone was plundered during the 16th century.
The Canal
There is a canal running through Berkhamsted with a towpath worth checking out. You can walk or bike along the path and we suggest stopping for some food or pints at the Boat House.
