Nicole has dedicated 18 years to teaching special education in New York City, and Jonathan has devoted 18 years to serving as a Customs and Border Protection agent at Newark Airport. Though Nicole is based in Staten Island and Jonathan in Rahway, New Jersey, their paths converged on a dating app on July 8, 2023. They exchanged numbers on July 13, and by their first date on July 23 their friendship had already blossomed into something much deeper — truly a romance of two best friends finding each other. By September 4, they had each told the other “I love you.” Engaged on May 3, 2025 on the beach at golden hour in Cape May, NJ, they plan to marry on August 23, 2025 at the Grand Oaks country club in Staten Island, New York.
