Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP)
You can fly into any NYC airport, but to avoid summer traffic heading east from the city, flying into ISP is a great option, especially if you're flying Southwest.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
If you fly into/out of JFK, it's incredibly easy and affordable to take the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to/from JFK airport! Take the Airtrain from JFK to Jamaica, Queens, and you can catch a train on the Port Jefferson line to St. James. You can use a Metrocard or ApplePay to pay for your AirTrain ticket, and can purchase your LIRR ticket from a ticket kiosk or the TrainTime app. Don't forget to activate your electronic LIRR tickets prior to boarding, and be mindful of the peak and off-peak hours!

LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
After a serious facelift, LGA is a great option for domestic flights. You won't have the chance to take a train to/from LGA, so Uber or car rental is the best option.
