This is it!! The final reschedule!! We pray you are all well and we anticipate a lovely time with you as you celebrate our married life together with us as a blessing from the Lord. PLEASE PLAN TO CARPOOL AS PARKING WILL BE ON OUR PROPERTY!

We were introduced by Cody (Scott's son), Zac (Lisa's son) and their friend Lucy. Lucy and Cody knew each other from high school. They were discussing how each had lost a parent and how Scott and and Lisa should possibly be introduced. The kids agreed to share this idea with us!

Lisa "waved" at Scott on instant messenger. Scott noticed it right away and thought "I can't wave back at her too soon". He obtained her cell number from his son Cody and made the proverbial first text to set up a phone call. Preempted by a golfing invitation, Scott delayed that first call. (now he was sweating it thinking Lisa may not answer the call having been bumped for a more important engagement - Lisa's version) In any case the call did happen and it lasted 1 1/2 hrs!

Met at Omakase in Gilroy to have sushi. Spent 2 1/2 hrs talking and getting to know some of 1 st things about each other.

Scott set the night up with Lisa's girlfriends just the way he knew would resonate with and surprise her. She insisted he meet her parents first. When they came from Washington State to visit, he let them know he was going to propose the next day. They had 24 hrs to express any concerns or raise red flags. Given they had just met him a day before, there wasn't much to go on. Lisa's best friends and her sons were consulted and gave them a resounding "thumbs up". Pretty trustworthy huh! With no objections, plans were put in place. Scott proposed to her the next evening at The Grove, a music venue in Hollister. The lead singer introduced Scott at a break which completely took Lisa by surprise! He then got on his knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Mom and Dad, Sam (1 of Scott’s sons) along with friends were right there with their cell phones to record it. It was truly a magical evening!
