Hey guys - Will + Montana here! Our story is something that we hold near to our hearts because of how amazing our God is. We can’t wait to share it with you and celebrate our marriage on January 11, 2025. May 28, 2022 Will was coming to serve at Global camp at First Baptist Church of Douglasville. He originally said no to coming but changed his mind last minute. He arrived in Douglasville and made his way to the church offices to find Montana preparing for camp. Montana noticed Will’s Elvis’ Mugshot t-shirt which if you know Will you know he has an eclectic style. Their team all went to dinner to get to know each other, and the night ended. May 30 - June 3, 2022 Throughout the week of camp, Will and Montana saw glimpses of each other and spent time with the other leaders playing games and eating late night cookout. Will and Montana became friends over the week and began to develop an interest in one another. At the end of camp, Montana left Will a note in his envelope. The envelope wall is a tradition at Global now since 2022. Montana asked Will to grab coffee sometime and a few weeks later Montana found herself of all places in Spartanburg, SC. March 17, 2024 After lots of drives back and forth from Spartanburg to Atlanta, broken down cars, spur of the moment trips, and almost 2 years of getting to know each other, Will was ready to propose to Montana. The same way that Montana left Will a note in the envelope wall at camp was the same way that Will proposed. They went to downtown Douglasville to grab lunch after church with friends so Montana thought. So much so that she even told Will on the way to the proposal that she thought he was proposing today but was certain that he wasn’t going to do it today. They walked down the alley way to find a bouquet of flowers and envelopes with sweet memories with specific dates inside each of them. The last envelope had March 17, 2024, and once Montana turned around, Will was on one knee proposing to Montana. What a sweet day that ended in a party with friends & family and of course, pickleball.
