We first crossed paths at Millersville University—two kindred spirits unknowingly orbiting the same universe. A shared class sparked a friendship, where quiet admiration grew in the spaces between words and ideas. Monshell was drawn to Malcolm’s sharp mind and self-assuredness. Malcolm, captivated by Monshell’s creative fire, first saw her brilliance on full display as a featured designer in a Black Student Union fashion show—he, a model on the runway she helped bring to life. Malcolm ripped the runway with unshakable confidence. Life, in its mysterious rhythm, led us down separate yet parallel paths. We both eventually left Millersville, our stories unfolding apart but somehow aligned. Without planning it, we both found ourselves graduating from Temple University, as if fate was gently nudging us closer. Over the years, we stayed loosely connected, occasional check-ins, brief conversations, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2021 that our worlds fully converged again. A simple lunch to catch up turned into a spark we couldn’t ignore. That day rekindled something timeless. Since that lunch, we’ve been writing a new chapter together.
