We met in the 7th grade through mutual friends, something stuck out about each other and we would talk everyday. In the 8th grade we dated, as kids do, but quickly realized we needed to grow up a little bit more. Throughout high school, we would talk here and there, nothing too serious until our first semester of college, when we ran into each other and the sparks flew all over again. January 15, 2019 is what we call our official "dating anniversary” but we also like to give some credit to our earlier days.

Some of our best memories together have been when we've traveled, our late-night talks, and spending time with loved ones but our favorite by far has to be the night we adopted Teddy. Kaylen had been reaching out to shelters from Fresno to Bakersfield in an attempt to bring home a new bestie. None were quite the match until April 14, 2021. We drove from Fresno to Tulare late at night to pick up the one and only, Theodore! He has since become the main-star of the house, making everyone's day brighter with all the laughs he manages to make.

Our day started out normal, completed our morning routines and took Teddy for a walk. We didn't have anything else planned so Ramon suggested we go out for lunch in Old Town. After eating, we went to the Book Barn, one of Kaylen's favorite places. He bought her a "mystery bag" full of books. When Kay tore open the bag, it was full of cheesy romance novels. While laughing at the random shirtless men on the covers, Ramon called Kaylen's name and popped THE question... "Will you marry me?"
