At orientation, a speaker said, "I am so excited for you guys to begin this journey! You will meet some of your best friends in medical school, and some of you may even meet your spouses, while you're here." This immediately made Lydia roll her eyes and think, "I'm here to get a medical degree--not a husband," but she ended up proving that lady right! Andy and Lydia both started medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine in Terre Haute in the Fall of 2018. They both went into medical school thinking the days were going to be filled with long hours of studying, sleep deprivation, and lots of coffee. All of this was true and then some. I guess it's inevitable that you'll grow fond of someone when you're spending 40+ hours a week with them eating, studying, whining about studying, avoiding studying, etc. What started off as friendship gradually grew into love, which brings us to where we are now!
