Antigua is a beautiful town in Central America. It is a UNESCO world heritage site built on the ruins of the Spanish conquistadores of the 1500s. It is a town full of culture, surrounded by beautiful nature (including active volcanos), and full of fun! Monique's mom is Guatemalan and her family has retired down there. We have enjoyed several trips down there and Skip proposed in Guatemala! The nearest airport is Guatemala City. There are direct flights from a number of US cities including Dallas, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, New York. From the airport, Antigua is about a 1 hour drive. We recommend taking an uber, private car or shuttle from the airport. We will be providing details on transportation soon. Once you get to Antigua, you won't need a car, the town is very walkable and Uber is available for longer trips or late at night. Another tip: Check in with your cellphone plan. While there is Wi-Fi available at most places, it's not always the most reliable. Make sure at least one person has roaming in case of emergencies.
While we love and adore your young ones, we are requesting adults only.
