Monique and Shaka first met at Monique’s first job Burger King when Shaka had to visit more than six times to get Monique’s attention. Monique finally gave in on the 8th trial and they both exchange numbers. After a few weeks of chatting, Shaka finally texted Monique the infamous line ‘Can I take you out on a date’. Their first date was on December 15,2015 at the hibachi restaurant Mount Fuji. They ended up talking for hours, laughing and drinking as if they had known each other forever, even though, Monique had introduced herself as a ‘Shy’ person. From there, many great dates ensued as they began to develop that created a new level of happiness they both couldn’t get enough of. The last few years together have been the best years of their lives- filled with so many memories, trying new restaurants (one of their favorite Red Lobster), hosting parties with friends and family , traveling, buying their first investment property and of course becoming parents to their miracle baby boy Malakai. With their new family, the sky is the limit for their future. They are so grateful for their loving family and support system and cannot wait to spend their special day with love ones.
