We lived less than a mile away from each other almost our whole lives, our siblings were friends in high school and yet we didn't meet till almost my senior of high school. We ended up working together and after much persistence he finally convinced me to go on a date with him to the movies. Little did I know that boy that made me laugh would turn into the man I would marry. It was the start of our forever.
Ruben took me, my family and his to Niagara Falls in Canada. Ruben thoughtfully remembered, it was five years to the date of when we first said I love you. And so as we walked to go see the falls, Ruben said he forgot his wallet back in the hotel room so he went back to get it. Our families continued to walk down to falls where he said he would meet us for our boat ride through the falls. I turned a corner and heard our song "I Don't Dance" by Lee Brice playing, I saw Ruben all dressed up holding multiple posters he had made. Each saying the significance of the day and all I meant to him, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Strangers stood by alongside our families and cheered! It was so sweet and romantic, of course I SAID YES!
