Our Love Story

First comes school, Then comes..... marriage?

This love story began in Grenada, 2019, when when Ronald’s and Monique’s paths crossed under the most unexpected of circumstances. Ronald was born and raised in St. Johns, Grenada, while Monique was born and raised in St. James, Jamaica. Monique went to Grenada for medical school in 2017, fully focused on her studies. Fast forward to 2019, the two met through mutual friends Mesha and Grizzly. Funny enough, neither of them showed much interest at first. It wasn’t until a games night at Monique’s place that things took a turn. That night, Ronald started showing interest in Monique for the first time, and honestly, it took her by surprise! The spark that started from there grew into something neither of them could have predicted. From that point on, they found themselves enjoying each other's company more and more. They quickly realized how much they loved spending time together, laughing at the silliest things, and sharing stories of their lives. It was clear to both of them that this was the beginning of something special. A significant milestone in their relationship came on New Year’s Eve, 2022. It was a magical evening, as Ronald surprised Monique with a beautiful bouquet of white roses, and nestled right in the middle was a single red rose... but that wasn't just any rose. When she looked closer, she saw a ring box! In that moment, surrounded by the glow of the New Year, he asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes, and that moment became a symbol of the incredible journey they were about to embark on together. What Monique loves most about Ronald is his ability to be unapologetically himself. He’s not afraid to act silly and bring joy to any moment, regardless of who's watching. He’s also someone who deeply values his family, and that quality means the world to her. What Ronald loves most about Monique is the way she cares for him and how they can be goofy and silly together. It’s the little moments, the inside jokes, and the shared laughter that make their relationship so strong. One of the things that makes their relationship so special is their shared love of travel and discovering new cultures. Both being from Caribbean islands, they both take great pride in their countries, and it has been such a beautiful experience for them to learn about each other's customs and culture. But perhaps one of our best memories together was during Grenada Carnival 2019. Monique and Ronald danced the days away, letting go of everything and simply enjoying each other’s company. It was a celebration of life and love, one they will surely cherish forever. Looking ahead, they are both so excited for the future. They can’t wait to build their lives together—travel to more amazing places, go on new adventures, and continue to support each other as they grow and become the best versions of themselves. With each passing day, they are more and more excited to spend forever together.
