How We Met

Years in the making

Ron used to work for Monique’s Aunt Tracy while attending CSU-Pueblo. Over the three years Tracy would talk highly of Ron to Monique, and highly of Monique to Ron, insisting that they meet. It wasn’t until Ron finished his education and moved back home, before we finally met at Tracy’s sons graduation party. We were finally introduced and connected throughout that day, and almost instantly Ariah sought him out as well and asked that he play with her. Ariah often refers to this day as the day she met her daddy. We had no idea that us finally meeting, could bring us to this day today. And all we can do is thank Tracy for insisting that we meet, and more importantly thank God for bringing us together in his perfect timing!

The Proposal

A day full of Thanks

It was Thanksgiving Day of 2020, one of the first times family has gathered together that year. We were excited to learn that both families had a tradition of going around the room and speaking about what we are thankful for. We were at Ron and Bianca’s house surrounded by both of our families in person and virtually, joined hand in hand, and we began to share what we are thankful for. We continued around the circle until finally we reached Ron, in so many words, he expressed his love and gratitude toward both Ariah and Monique. He proceeded to get down on his knee and asked Monique to marry him, and then immediately turned to Ariah, still on his knee, and had a special proposal for her as well. I couldn’t have asked for anything more!
