Schedule

The Wedding Website of Monique Singer and Ismail Laamiri
Our wedding celebrations will take place over two days, and we’re so excited to share both with you. The first (optional) day is the henna party—a relaxed, traditional Moroccan gathering with music, color, and celebration. Henna is applied as a symbol of joy, beauty, and good luck, and it’s a chance to enjoy time with family and friends in a laid-back atmosphere. The second day is the wedding celebration in Tahannaout, about 40 minutes from Marrakech. This is the main event, featuring traditional Moroccan wedding moments like the bride’s entrance with music and celebration, shared feasting, live entertainment, and plenty of dancing late into the night. It’s a joyful blend of Moroccan traditions and personal touches, bringing everyone together for an unforgettable celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate with you :)

Pre-Wedding Henna

12:00 pm

This event is optional and casual. Wear something comfortable, or if you'd like to wear something Moroccan, women can wear a butterfly "farasha" dress.

Our henna ceremony will be a special and relaxed celebration leading up to the wedding. It’s a traditional Moroccan gathering in which the bride will have intricate henna designs applied to her hands, which is a meaningful ritual symbolizing joy, beauty, and good luck. It’s a great chance to experience a beautiful part of Moroccan culture in a laid-back, festive setting. No need to dress formally, but feel free to embrace the spirit of the occasion with something fun and colorful if you’d like! We’ll bring henna artists and provide all materials needed, but if you’d like to have henna done, please plan to pay the artists directly in cash (Moroccan dirhams). As a general guideline, designs for both hands and feet typically range from 150–200 dirhams. Each artist sets her own price depending on skill and the intricacy of the design, so feel free to check with them beforehand. Tips aren’t required, but are always appreciated—the artists are local women from the groom’s village.
