Long before we ever imagined forever, we were just two teenagers crossing paths over instrumental music. What began as a simple acquaintance blossomed into years of effortless connection, never forced, always intentional, and moving to the steady rhythm of our own timing. We would check in, meet for dinner, catch up on life, and pick up right where we left off like no time had passed at all. Somewhere between “just friends” and “just one more conversation,” we built something neither of us saw coming. And although to this day nobody wants to admit who slid into whose DMs first 😄, one thing is for sure, that “casual” conversation never stopped. Life moved on. Years passed. But through every season, we stayed connected. What began as friendship slowly deepened into something steady, safe, and undeniable. Then one day, a simple Christmas gift exchange, just two friends being thoughtful, changed everything. What we thought was small became significant. What we thought was casual became intentional. And what we thought was friendship became an everlasting love. Then came the ultimate plot twist. What Monique thought was just a baby shower event quickly turned into the surprise of a lifetime when Dominique got down on one knee and asked the easiest question she’s ever answered. From teenagers bonded by music to partners writing a lifetime together, these are the notes of our love story, and the melody is just getting started.
