We're Getting Married!

The health and safety of our friends and family is our top priority. We plan to get married on May 1, 2021 no matter what. We have a vision for our wedding day that we hope to see play out, but will update our website and guests as we get closer to have a better idea of how to remain in accordance with local regulations as well as the most up to date CDC guidelines. We are currently planning the following safety measures: • While we wish we could see your smiling faces without face masks, we will be sure to provide them as necessary if needed. • We ask that if you are ill, have had Covid symptoms within 14 days of our wedding, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive within the last 14 days of our wedding, that you stay home. We will celebrate with you safely at a later date. • Our ceremony will be inside a large church with plenty of room to social distance if needed. We are still working with our venue to determine if we need to move our reception to a larger room to ensure social distancing. Zachary and Monika grew up about five minutes from eachother in Spencerport, NY. They had many mutual friends over the years and both graduated from Spencerport High School in 2011. Growing up they were only acquaintances, but a mutual friend brought them together their freshman year in college (thanks Mike). After a few months, they decided to take separate paths and wouldn't reconnect until four years later. For New Years Eve (December 31, 2014) our mutual friend Allie asked Monika to come to a party at a friends house (our best man- Rob). After convincing Monika that it would be fun running into everyone from highschool....Monika showed up to the party and ran into Zack. That night Zack asked Monika if they could go out sometime and well, the rest was history. Thanks to our friends helping us find our way back to eachother, we were able to pick up where we left off. After over four years of growing, traveling, laughing, and creating an inseparable bond- on December 24th, 2018, Zack gave Monika a Christmas gift she will forever cherish, a ring. Some will say Monika and Zack are very different from eachother, but their souls are so similar. They’ve grown as a couple, but most importantly they have become eachothers best friend. We can't wait to be able to celebrate our marriage with our closest family and friends in our new home town, Raleigh, NC.
