We went to Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park! We were two strangers (kinda) who decided to drive in a car together for 2 hours...yikes. Here's a quote we saw etched on a bench that we still love to this day: "Have a sense of humor along with a sense of adventure so that you can laugh along the way."

We went on a late night walk to Lake Opeka. We sat on a bench for HOURS and had the best time together. Once we got home, Sunny said "soooo, I like you, and you like me, can I call you my girlfriend?" A very Sunny like thing to do. And the rest is history!!

On the last day of a girls' trip to AK, they decided to take one last hike at Byron's Glacier. As a tradition, Monica was taking a photo while holding the Marquette flag behind her. Meanwhile, Sunny was hiding in nearby bushes! Monica dropped the flag, turned around, and there was Sunny on one knee! If you know Monica, you can only imagine her reaction. She SCREAMED and RAN in the opposite direction of Sunny. She could not believe Sunny was there and kept asking how in the world he got to Alaska! It was simply the best day ever.
