Which airports should I consider when flying from the Northeast United States to Portugal?

Answer

Porto Airport (OPO) and Lisbon Portela International Airport (LIS) are the main options. Both offer direct and connecting flights from major cities like New York City, Boston, and Philadelphia. Lisbon airport is about 4 hours away from the venue and wedding party, so we encourage travel to OPO.

How do I get to Barcelos from Porto?

Answer

From Porto, take the Intercidades train, bus, taxi, Uber, or rent a vehicle. The rental car providers in the country default to MANUAL vehicles, so be sure to specify you would like an automatic in the reservation. Alternatively, you can hire a private taxi or shuttle service, which will be the most expensive option but also the most convenient. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around €100-€150.
