A Celebration Awaits!

We met the way most modern couples do…on Hinge! Our first date was a scooter ride, and I’ll never forget Ryan scooting up to me with a big, goofy smile. My first impression? He was fun and adventurous. Ryan, however, was a little nervous…he thought I might be a catfish since I was running late! But once we shared some margaritas, all his nerves melted away. What started as a casual scooter ride turned into an adventure we’d share with our first “fur child,” Bmo. He’s been our little shadow ever since, keeping us on our toes and adding even more joy to our journey.

Ryan spent months planning the perfect proposal, all while keeping it a secret from me. A few weeks before the big day, he casually mentioned we were heading to brunch at Pacific City, a place with a great ocean view, and meeting up with friends. Little did I know, he was about to pull off the surprise of a lifetime. As we walked along the beach, Ryan got down on one knee and said the sweetest words, including, “I fell in love with you quickly.” Of course, I laughed through my happy tears! Just as I said yes, our friends popped out holding signs that read “She Said Yes,” and cars honked in celebration. It was an unforgettable day — made even more meaningful by Ryan taking my dad to lunch beforehand to ask for his blessing. Behind the scenes, Ryan had created a secret WhatsApp group to coordinate the whole thing, even drawing up a map of where everyone had to be. And while Bmo didn’t physically attend, we both knew he’d be there in spirit, eagerly awaiting our next family adventure.
