The Wedding Website of Monica Lewis and Rod Brown
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

All attendees must be present to board the Mariner of Seas between 9:30 and 10 am on Friday, May 22, 2020. The boarding/embarkation process will take place before the ceremony begins. Special attendants will escort the Brown Love party through the process. Please be dressed for the wedding upon arrival.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire The Bridal Party’s attire will be reflective of the Roaring 20s and Harlem Renaissance period. Rod and I thought it would be fun to bring the Roaring 20s into 2020 in order to celebrate our nuptials in a unique way. Although it is definitely NOT required for you to wear clothing that reflects the period, you are welcome to join in on the fun.

Answer

Yes. Rod and I have arranged for transportation for all guests from the host hotels to the cruise port on the morning of the cruise. More details about times and pick up locations will be coming soon.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

For those who are driving to Port Canaveral, both hosting hotels have genuinely offered our group to park for free at their facilities during the entire cruise stay (as opposed to $18 per day at the dock).

Question

What travel documents do I need to board a Royal Caribbean cruise ship (U.S. Citizens)?

Answer

For US Sailings - U.S. Citizens may sail using their: Official Birth Certificate and a supporting Government Issued Photo ID, like a driver’s license or an identity card. Please note that hospital Birth Certificates (baby feet Birth Certificates) are not accepted. or U.S. Passport book that is valid at least 6 months after your cruise.

Question

This is my first cruise. I’m scared that I will have motion sickness. What should I do?

Answer

Typically larger boats do not cause motion sickness. The experience of being on the boat is like walking in a large stable building. Only in cases where the boat experiences turbulence from storms will the average cruiser feel the movement of the boat. Many first time travelers will use Dramamine, however, as a precautionary measure. If you choose to use Dramamine, please remember it’s best to begin taking it at least an hour before the boat sets sail. Also, keep in mind that one of the common side effects is drowsiness.
