The best area to stay in Cartagena depends on what you're looking for. We want you to enjoy this vacation time in this amazing place. Call the grandparents and tell them you're dropping off the kids for a short mini vacation and work on your tan out with us in Cartagena. (or bring the nanny to watch the kids while you party the day away with us)
We understand a destination wedding can be overwhelming coming alone, but you won't be. You'll be surrounded by our amazing group of friends and family with plenty to do and and always someone around. The venue is small and intimate which means we'll have to limit headcount for our actual wedding. But if you do bring a friend for the trip, our wedding planner will be happy to list out all the events/activities they can do that one evening while you're off at the wedding. Your guest will be able to explore (possibly with other travel partners who have that Monday off) some activities in Cartagena for the evening.
Cartagena is great for 3-4 days. If you have extended time, consider flying in to Bogota or Medellin before or after the wedding for another couple of days.
Plan to arrive Saturday and we can meet for a cocktail that evening. Sunday we'll plan to meet up either for some tours in the area and an evening activity. All optional.

Ladies, you're in an exotic colorful country. Please feel free to play with colors. Think gowns, long cocktail dresses with an extra something special. Gentlemen - likewise if the women are in gowns and are super fancy, please don't think jeans are a good idea. If you don't want to wear a tie, then please make sure you still bring a sports jacket to dress up your look. You can likewise wear color. We also have recommendations if you want to rent your suit. For the weather, you could lean in towards lighter materials. Part of wedding will be outdoors but remainder will be inside AC.
