Rental Car
Neil has set up a 35% discount on vehicles from Alii Rental Cars. One of the issues on Kauaʻi is the increasing wait time (up to 2-hours!) for rental cars. Please note that you will have to take an Uber to Aliiʻs location, however it is not far from the airport, and in our opinion totally worth it. It is a completely digital check-in with lock boxes. In addition to having cars in good condition, they have some of the lowest rates on island. The owner, Anwar Alii, has given our guests a discounted rate. Please book your rental online. Upon receipt of your booking, you will be required to reply with your confirmation code and proof of driverʻs license. Include your wedding guest discount code: YUKIMURA2026 and you will be REFUNDED 35%
Hotel
This is the nicest resort in Lihue, which is the same town as the Wedding and Reception. Great for those traveling with family and kids who want to do the resort pool thing. This is the resort at Kalapaki Beach, which is one of the beaches Neil and Monica frequent. Dukeʻs (downstairs) makes a mean Piña Colada. And there are tons of places to eat across the street at Harbor Mall.
Hotel
This is for those who want a quiet, simple place to stay. It is much more budget friendly than the Royal Sonesta. The wedding ceremony and reception are in the same town. It is a short drive to Kalapaki Beach where Monica and Neil frequent, and also to Harbor Mall where there are plentiful places to eat.
Hotel
This is for guests looking for the friendliest place on the wallet. I did not even know this place existed until we met with the pastor at the church. This cute lil hotel is just across the street!
Hotel
This is a hotel/condo right in downtown Kapaʻa along the coastline. Monica is adding this to the list because of the location being right in Kapaʻa town, which has an old-school feel to it. You can walk to coffee/bar/food/shops. Condos have kitchens for those staying longer than a few days. Kapaʻa is a 22-minute drive to Lihue where the wedding and reception are. The cost is also on the friendlier side compared to other resorts on Kauaʻi.
Hotel
The Hyatt is one of the nicest resorts on the South Shore in Poipu. Monica is adding this to the list for those who want to be on the beautiful south shore, and close to fine dining and shops. The pool is pretty epic. This is also home of Stevensonʻs Library, which is where Neil originally proposed to Monica :)
