It is hot and muggy and sometimes there are sudden storms. They say if you don't like the weather you just have to wait and it'll change.
Our colors are shades of blue and gold, if you would like to match the bridal party. You could also wear red to wish us happiness and prosperity. We will be indoors! There will be big windows, so it might get warm if there's a lot of sunlight, but there is central AC so consider layering.
Our wedding ceremony and reception will be on Saturday. We hope you will be able to celebrate our Rehearsal Dinner and Tea Ceremony on Friday.
A tea ceremony is a Chinese wedding tradition of honoring your parents, new in-laws and elders by serving them tea, in exchange for blessings in the form of "hong bao" red envelopes with money or sometimes gold jewelry. If you would like to honor the couple with your participation as an elder please reach out to the bride.
The plans with the caterers aren't finalized yet, but as we hope to have a Chinese wedding style banquet dinner for the night before, we are leaning towards heavy hors d'oeuvres at the reception. We know we want an M&M dessert bar! Please reach out with any dietary restrictions.
This will be a small wedding, if you have an invite we would love for you and your littles to attend! Please reach out if you have any concerns about child-friendly accommodations
We are still hashing out the details. We have the venue all day, so we are considering an earlier ceremony and a long reception. The reception will end around 10pm, with an optional after party to follow.
