It was a Friday night in the midst of Covid 2020 and Monica was getting ready for a date, the funny part was the date was not planned to be with Kevin. Obviously that date did not go according to plan because Monica called Kevin after and asked if he wanted to hangout. Kevin and Monica had been chatting through Hinge for a couple of weeks and Kevin (still to this day) claims he had to triple text Monica to get her attention. I guess it's true what they say about Hinge, it's the app to be deleted. Monica showed up at Kevin's apartment and the rest is history :)
It was all set for October 8th, 2022. Kevin bought the ring, asked her family for her hand, and had been planning with her best friends for months. He wanted Monica to have the perfect day. Kevin had planned to sneak out of the apartment early that morning with their dog Lincoln (even though Monica is clearly his favorite) and her best friends were going to pick her up for a day filled with appointments to spoil Monica on this special day. After the best girls day ever, the plan was to drop Monica back off at the apartment and Kevin (and Lincoln) were going to be there down on one knee surrounded by candles and flowers. Well that didn't happen because Hurricane Ian had other plans. Monica's appointments had been canceled and their families couldn't get into town because the airport was shut down. Kevin started to panic and is also pretty bad at keeping a secret. Over a couple of Miller Lites with Monica's dad (shout out to Mike) he said "just get it over with". When Monica and Kevin returned home that night, Kevin got down on one knee in their master bathroom and asked Monica to marry him (super romantic we know).
